Integrative Medicine- Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine
Integrative medicine is a holistic approach to treating the patient as a whole and may include a combination of conventional “Western” medicine and holistic therapies to support the best possible patient outcome.
Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) works to restore balance within the body using herbal medicine and other supportive therapies. This approach focuses on addressing imbalances within the body by first managing outward signs and symptoms, while also working to identify and treat the underlying cause of disease. TCVM often involves treating the “branches” of a condition while continuing to uncover and address the “root” of the problem.
*A consultation & examination by a veterinarian is required to discuss whether TCVM therapies are appropriate for your pet. Follow-up rechecks are also recommended to ensure your pet is tolerating treatment well and to determine if any adjustments to the therapy plan are needed. Contact us for more information!
