Job Shadow/Externship Opportunities
Job shadowing and externship opportunities are available at Prairie Animal Hospital. We are happy to assist students with school projects and welcome students who have a general interest in veterinary medicine. Please contact our Communications Director for more information.
- Please note that all job shadowing experiences are primarily observational in nature to ensure the safety and well-being of both our patients and participating students.

Scheduling of shadowing opportunities is dependent on veterinarian and staff availability and therefore cannot be guaranteed within a specific timeframe.
Applicants under 18 years of age must obtain a signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian prior to participation.
Students who have not yet reached high school (<16 years old) are welcome to contact us regarding opportunities and information about careers in veterinary medicine; however, shadowing placement may be limited.
