Elisa Parker, DVM
Dr. Elisa Parker has spent most of her life in Idaho. Her love for all animals inspired her to earn a degree in Animal Science from the University of Idaho before receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2004. Dr. Parker joined Prairie Animal Hospital 12 years ago and now serves as one of our practice owners!
“I have always loved horses the most. Despite their size and strength, they can be very gentle and kind. They have a great memory of people and other horses,” she says. Although she originally planned to work with horses, Dr. Parker found her passion in small animal practice and soft tissue surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Parker enjoys horseback riding, camping, fishing, boating, and skiing with her husband and their two sons. She also takes part in mission work around the world, using her veterinary skills to serve both animals and people in need. Dr. Parker is thankful for the many blessings in her life and gives thanks to God for His guidance and for His hand upon Prairie Animal Hospital.
